The second Twin

Fabfilter's software synth updated
Fabfilter, developers of instrument and effects plug-ins, have announced an update to their Twin software synthesizer. Like Volcano v2, which was updated some months back, Twin's GUI has been redesigned with what Fabfilter call a "what you use is what you see" concept, where only the controls for the parameters you're using are displayed. What's more, a signal chain 'world' is displayed on the lower half of the user interface, and its individual modules can be brought into focus to provide in-depth parameter tweaking.
In terms of new features, Twin v2 has more oscillators than its predecessor, as well as a new delay effects processor and a ring modulator. Virtually any parameter can be chosen as a modulation destination, using a simple-to-operate drag-and-drop matrix, and there are over 1600 presets included, which enable the user to get creative straight after install.
Twin v2 is available now for £114, is compatible with Mac and PC and works as a plug-in inside VST, Audio Units and RTAS host applications. Visit the Fabfilter web site for more information.
