SUPERBOOTH25: Fresh hardware from Novation

Novation have announced a fresh line-up of hardware at this year’s Superbooth, introducing four new products designed to inspire electronic musicians, live performers and producers alike. The new releases include the Launch Control XL 3, two sleek white editions of the Launchkey MK4, and a special Bass Station II Swifty Edition, made in collaboration with iconic British designer Ian "Swifty" Swift.

Novation’s flagship MIDI controller returns in its third generation with a sharper and more versatile design. Featuring 8 faders, 24 rotary encoders, 16 assignable buttons, and dedicated transport controls, the XL 3 now adds a high-contrast OLED screen for real-time parameter feedback. With 5-pin MIDI I/O, extended DAW compatibility and Custom Modes via Novation Components, the controller also doubles as a flexible command center for hybrid and hardware setups.

Following the success of the MK4 series, Novation have introduced a clean, contemporary white finish for two of its most popular models: the Launchkey 49 and Launchkey Mini 37. Both retain the same upgraded keybeds, OLED displays, deep DAW integration and robust software bundle featuring tools from Ableton, Cubase, Klevgrand, Native Instruments and more.

The Swifty Edition of Novation’s classic analogue synth is a bold visual remix, crafted in partnership with UK design legend Ian “Swifty” Swift, renowned for his work with Mo’ Wax, Talkin’ Loud, and The Face magazine. The synth comes pre-loaded with 60+ exclusive patches from artists including Legowelt, Pecq and Maria Chiara Argirò, offering gritty techno, lush jazz textures and experimental tones in one expressive instrument.

All four new releases are on display at Superbooth 2025 in Berlin (May 8–10), alongside Novation’s Peak, Summit and a special showing of the Supernova, celebrating 25 years since its debut as a defining virtual-analogue polysynth.
