UK-based modular synth experts ALM/Busy Circuits have announced the launch of a new all-in-one Eurorack system that brings together a selection of their popular analogue and digital modules. Aimed at newcomers and experienced users alike, the Turismo has been designed to act as a fun and flexible instrument that can be played with minimal fuss and setup.
Housed in a travel-friendly 84HP chassis, the system includes a variety of the company’s flagship Eurorack modules that equip users with everything they need for analogue basses, beeps and leads, along with tools for filtering, extensive sampling and DSP effects processing. A variety of sequencing styles are on offer, too, alongside a wealth of modulation options and full MIDI integration.
Turismo includes numerous analogue and digital sound sources — oscillators, chords, samples, noise and more — along with sample recording and eight-channel sample playback. There are five analogue VCAs along with two analogue multi-mode resonant filters, with plenty of modulation opportunities provided by LFO, envelope, randomisation, quantisation and syncing modules. As for utility modules, the system includes sample and hold, mult, mixer and slew limiter tools, and there’s no shortage of effects, with no fewer than 18 reverbs, delays, granular effects and more.
