Voxengo update GlissEQ to V3

New mid/side and routing matrix
Voxengo have released GlissEQ 3, a dynamic EQ plug-in, in VST and Audio Units formats. GlissEQ differs somewhat from a standard EQ, in that it intelligently adapts gain adjustments by analysing the incoming programme material. A knob marked ‘Dyn’ adjusts the EQ’s sensitivity to transients, and how it reacts to the input.

Interestingly, multiple instances of GlissEQ can be made ‘aware’ of one another, sharing frequency information. The first useful application that comes to mind for this feature is preventing two tracks from occupying the same frequency range, setting one GlissEQ instance to react to input from another. The main display includes a real-time spectrum analyser that can display information relating both to the audio passing through and frequency data being fed from another GlissEQ instance.

New features for V3 include mid/side processing with a full routing matrix for all inputs and outputs, support for multi-channel (namely surround) signals, and the ability to resize the interface for lower-resolution screens. GlissEQ 3 costs around $119, with an introductory price of $99 available until the 8th December 2009.
