Warp: free plug-in from Baby Audio

Derived from the popular Transit 2

Baby Audio Warp free pitch-shifting time-stretching plug-in

Continuing their tradition of closing out the year with a freebie, Baby Audio have announced the launch of Warp, a new plug-in that’s based on Transit 2, their hugely popular collaboration with Andrew Huang.

The plug-in lets users speed up or slow down incoming audio, and has been built around a powerful algorithm that promises to deliver unprecedented clarity whilst avoiding the typical artifacts that occur with many time-stretching processors. Speed and Stretch controls provide users with control over the signal’s speed without affecting its pitch (and vice versa), allowing for interesting effects such as slowing down a sound’s speed while increasing its pitch, while a Mix knob allows the results to be blended with the unprocessed signal.

If you’re not already familiar with Transit 2, you can check out out full review in the January 2024 issue.

Compatibility

Warp is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.11 and above. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Availability

Warp is available now as a free download.
