Just months on from its initial release, Baby Audio’s software drum synth has been treated to its first major update. Tekno 1.1 introduces a whole host of new capabilities, including the most-requested feature from users: a built-in sequencer.
Tekno’s new onboard sequencer has been designed to give producers an inspiring beat creation environment directly inside the plug-in rather than relying on DAW tracks or third-party sequencers. It features dedicated lanes for each of the instrument’s 18 voices and up to 32 steps per lane, as well as offering an array of creative features like smart randomisation, adjustable lane lengths for creating polyrhythms, speed multipliers and hit-chance settings. The update also includes other major improvements sourced directly from user feedback, including global undo/redo options, full kit sample export and four available choke groups.
In addition to the desktop plug-in update, Baby Audio has announced that the V1.1 update will launch alongside an iOS App version with AUv3 plug-in support.
