Reason Studios have announced that they have teamed up with LANDR, a move which the two brands say will “redefine the future of music creation”.
Users will be pleased to hear that there seem to be no fundamental changes afoot, with Reason Studios saying that their singular focus remains on making their popular software more inspiring, more intuitive and more fun to use. They’ve also issued the following statement regarding their existing users: “The Reason DAW and Rack you know and love are here to stay. Rest assured, there will be no immediate changes to existing customer accounts, licenses, pricing or support.”
As for the future, users can expect the following:
- More ways to access the Reason Rack for non-Reason DAW users.
- New integrations between LANDR and Reason products.
- Increased levels of customer support and R&D.
The companies will also be establishing an Artist Council — which will be made up of well-known producers and longtime Reason users — to ensure that Reason’s roadmap remains deeply connected to the real-world needs and ambitions of today’s creators, advising on product innovation, creative tools and workflows.
