Reason Studios [now owned by LANDR] have announced a major update to how creators can access the Reason platform, introducing a standalone version of the Reason Rack, lowering the price of Reason DAW and adding value to the Reason+ subscription. All changes are available now.
Standalone DAW
The Reason Rack is now offered as a standalone product for use in any DAW via VST3, AU or AAX. Available as both a perpetual licence and a subscription, the standalone Rack provides access to more than 60 Reason instruments, effects, and the modular rack workflow, allowing producers to integrate Reason’s sound design tools into an existing DAW setup without changing platforms.
Reason DAW is now available at a new lower price, making its full-featured production environment more accessible while retaining its established workflow for sequencing, recording, sampling and sound design.
Reason+
The Reason+ subscription has also been expanded to include additional tools and services previously offered separately. Alongside Reason DAW and the Reason Rack, the subscription now includes AI mastering, global music distribution, a library of over three million samples, more than 20 plugins and AI-powered tools such as stem separation, vocal restoration, and sample adaptation, bringing production, finishing and distribution tools together in a single subscription.
