The Waves SoundGrid Mobile Server is an external DSP system designed to let you offload processing for Waves plug-ins from your host machine. Designed with small live shows in mind, it offers low-latency monitoring and about 70% of the processing power of its larger sibling, the SoundGrid Impact Server.
You can equally use the SoundGrid Mobile Server in the studio giving those older studio machines a bit more life. It’s due to ship at the beginning of 2019 and will cost in the region of $849.
