Arturia have already announced two products this week, the MiniBrute 2 and MiniBrute 2S — keyboard and sequencer versions of their new analogue monosynth. Now, with today’s announcement, they’re expanding the MiniBrute 2 ecosystem with RackBrute powered Eurorack cases. Before you close the tab, you should see how neatly they fit together with the new Brutes. Designed to attach to the MiniBrute 2/2S (via the elegant Arturia Link system) or be used standalone, RackBrutes let you turn your traditional synth into something much more modular.

Compared to other powered Eurorack cases, they’re pretty well-priced considering how portable they are they're also unusual in that they can be configured to sit slightly raised so you can usefully put them behind a keyboard.

Two versions are available: the RackBrute 3U with 88HP (£240) and RackBrute 6U with 176HP (£330). Both feature a dedicated power module to keep your precious gear supplied with +12V / -12V / +5V power.

When you need to pack away for storage, or to transport your whole setup for a gig, RackBrute can pack up into a handy transport mode, with a sturdy carry handle and spacers to prevent any collision between the RackBrute and the other attached hardware. A RackBrute Travel Bag is also available to keep your rig scratch, splash, and dust free. Shipping of RackBrutes is expected in March.
