Originals Intimate Strings gains UF8 & UF1 support

SSL Spitfire Audio UF8 UF1 orchestral sample library fader MIDI CC controller mappings

SSL have teamed up with Spitfire Audio to create official SSL controller mappings for the renowned sample library maker’s Originals Intimate Strings. The mappings, which are also compatible with a range of other Spitfire products, bring seamless virtual instrument integration to users of the UF8 and UF1 control surfaces.

Tailored for SSL’s UF8 and UF1 controllers, the new custom mappings for Spitfire Audio’s popular string library promise to provide users with enhanced ergonomics, increased precision and seamless integration, offering a truly immersive playing experience for composers and producers. Designed to provide tactile control over key instrument parameters, the company’s say that the new mappings unlock deeper movement, dynamics and emotional range within the library, creating a new standard for studio workflow.

"We are delighted to be working with SSL to develop mappings for its line of best-in-class controllers. Our Originals Intimate Strings samples were all recorded in Lyndhurst Hall at Air Studios, and this collection focuses on the delicate and most emotional aspect of string playing. At its heart, these are recordings of real musicians playing, and the SSL controllers allow users to increase their musical expression for a wide range of possible composition and production applications." - Paul Thomson, Co-Founder, Spitfire Audio
