New Cubase & Reason keyboards from Editors Keys

Two new backlit, wireless models announced

Editors Keys Cubase 14 wireless backlit shortcut keyboard

Editors Keys have recently expanded their line-up of application-specific keyboards with new models designed for Steinberg’s Cubase 14 and Reason Studios’ Reason 13. (These join the existing keyboards for Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton Live.) Boasting wireless connectivity and plug-and-play compatibility with both Windows and macOS systems, the latest additions to the company’s product range provide users with over 150 keyboard shortcuts, all colour-coded and clearly labelled alongside the standard keyboard lettering.

Key Features

  • Fully Backlit & Wireless (an industry first): Whether you’re producing at night or working in low-light studios, the three adjustable backlight levels keep you focused and reduce eye strain during long sessions.
  • Over 150 Steinberg Cubase Shortcuts: Access over 150 colour-coded Cubase shortcuts at a glance, speeding up your workflow and helping you find the tools you need faster. Every key also displays the standard typing letters, making it perfect for both studio work and everyday tasks.
  • Exceptional Battery Life: Enjoy up to three months of use on a single charge with the backlight turned off (based on five hours of use per day). With backlighting on, it easily powers through a full working day. Need to keep going? Just plug it in and continue creating without interruption.
  • Multi-Device Connectivity: Instantly switch between three devices — perfect for moving between your main computer, laptop or even your tablet running Cubase or Cubasis.
  • True Mac and PC Compatibility: The smart auto-detection feature means the keyboard automatically switches layouts when connected to Mac or PC, delivering the correct Cubase shortcut commands without the need for manual setup or drivers. It’s truly plug-and-play.

Editors Keys Reason 13Along with Cubase 14, Reason 13 becomes the latest DAW to benefit from Editors Keys' dedicated shortcut keyboards.

Pricing & Availability

The Cubase 14 keyboards are available now, and the Reason 13 keyboards are available to pre-order, with shipping expected to commence around mid-September 2025. Both are priced at £159.99 including VAT.
