Acon Digital have announced the launch of Extract:Dialogue 2, a new and improved version of their praised dialogue cleaning plug-in for film, TV, streaming and post production. The new version introduces a whole host of new features including real-time reverb reduction, per-audio stem EQ, optional Mid-Side processing and a redesigned mixer-style interface that gives users direct control over dialogue, noise and ambience levels.
The company say that development of the new version was guided by conversations with dialogue editors, dubbing/re-recording mixers and other audio professionals. The discussions highlighted a number persistent challenges including unwanted reverb, loss of natural tone and the need to switch between multiple tools to get a clean result. Extract:Dialogue 2 promises to tackle all of those problems head-on, allowing engineers to carry out their work more quickly while maintaining the natural character of the original recording.

Extract:Dialogue 2 is supported on PCs running Windows 7 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and above. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Extract:Dialogue 2 is available now, priced at $99. It will be subject to a 20% discount until 5 January 2026, and owners of the original Extract:Dialogue, Acoustica 7 Premium or Acoustica 7 Post Production Suite can upgrade for $49 via their account on the Acon Digital website. It is also now included with all new purchases of Acoustica 7 Premium and Acoustica 7 Post Production Suite.
