Abbey Road's Red Playroom

Tech showcase takes place 11-12 November

Abbey Road Red Playroom

Abbey Road will soon be celebrating their 90th anniversary with a series of events, including masterclasses, talks, interactive sessions and more. We've already brought you news of the SOS-associated Listening Service, but also of interest to music producers and technophiles will be the Red Playroom event.

Hosted in Abbey Road Studio 3 from 11th-12th November, the Red Playroom is a showcase of some of the most innovative music-creation technology around, all developed by members and associates of Abbey Road's Red technology incubator programme.

In their own words: “Our exhibitors will show you their inventions designed to assist and enhance our creativity, from playful smart instruments to powerful automated audio processers and generative music assistants. You will be able to experience and try them for yourself as well as talk to their creators.”

Among the many gizmos and gadgets to play with will be Patch XR's modular synth creation and performance environment, the Odd Ball MIDI controller, and Vochlea's intuitive Dubler voice-to-MIDI system.

Naturally, places are limited, so as with the other events in the Abbey Road 90th anniversary celebrations, you have to apply for a place, specifying which day you wish to attend. To do so, visit the URL below.
