AIR Music Technology have announced the release of Fly Tape II, a cassette-inspired multi-effects plug-in developed in collaboration with MSXII Sound Design. Originally a successful iOS app, Fly Tape II is now available for MPC standalone devices, MPC software and DAWs, offering real-time tape-style processing for music production.
Fly Tape II includes eight tape-inspired effects: Speed, Saturation, Warble, Lo-Fi, Brake, Reverse, Mute and Stutter. Each effect has multiple variations, such as seven types of warble and eight lo-fi modes, providing a wide palette of nostalgic textures. Additional features include a noise level fader, wet/dry mix and a redesigned retro-style interface.
Designed with both studio and live performance in mind, Fly Tape II offers momentary or toggle triggering for effects, drag-and-drop integration in DAWs and direct compatibility with MPC hardware. Supports VST, VST3, and AU formats on desktop. Compatible with MPC standalone devices running v2.15.1, v3.5 or later.
