AIR Music Technology have today announced the release of their latest plug-in, AIR Delay Pro. Equipped with both emulated analogue and digital delay types and three stereo modes that allow the creation of complex offset and bouncing delays, the versatile effect is aimed at those working in all genres of modern music.
Digital and Analog buttons at the top of the GUI allow users to select their desired delay type, whilst three buttons below offer the choice of Single, Dual or Cross operation modes, and are joined by a Width control which allows users to define the effect’s stereo width. The plug-in is capable of providing up to four seconds of delay time, and can be synchronised with the host DAW’s tempo.
A section dedicated to processing the delay signal contains a Feedback parameter, which is joined by resonant low- and high-pass filters. A set of four sliders allow users to control the amount of resonance and its frequency, with the delay signal also benefiting from additional processing courtesy of an LFO and dedicated distortion and limiting processors. An Auto-Clear parameter follows, which can be used to automatically mute the delay signal with the arrival of the next note or beat.
Next up is a Diffusion section, which provides a reverb-like effect by ‘smearing’ the delay sound, and comes equipped with a slider to adjust the perceived size of the effect, and a button to widen the overall stereo image. A Modulation section offering Wobble, Stereo and Chorus modes with a Rate control allows the creation of a variety of modulated delay effects, and is joined by an Envelope Follower feature which can be assigned to the plug-in’s Time, Feedback and Mix parameters to control how the delay evolves over time.
A band of parametric EQ is then followed by an Output section, which provides master low- and high-pass filters, Width, Balance, and Mix controls.
Take a listen to the demos below to hear AIR Delay Pro in action.
AIR Delay Pro is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or 11, and Macs running macOS 11.7 and higher. It is available in VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in formats. The plug-in is also available on Akai Pro’s MPC hardware platform.
