Following on from their major hardware announcement at Superbooth 2024, Arturia have revealed that a recreation of the popular MiniBrute synthesizer will be joining their software collection. MiniBrute V has been designed to retain the sound and playability of the original unit, but benefits from some modern flexibility that enhances its usability.
While the core sound of the hardware version remains, the recreation is capable of operating as an eight-voice polysynth, although a switchable monophonic mode is available for those who wish to recreate their favourite patches. The four mixable waveforms and sub-oscillator found on the original are present — as are the UltraSaw and Metalizer waveshapers — but a significant enhancement comes in the form of a new built-in FX Rack section, which houses a four independent effects slots and offers a choice of 17 processors.
A patch browser offers access to over 150 factory presets, and the new virtual offering also sports a slick new colour scheme inspired by Arturia’s Noir instrument designs.
Compatibility
MiniBrute V is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 11 and higher. VST, AAX and AU plug-in versions are provided, along with a standalone applications.
Pricing & Availability
