Behringer’s latest synth release promises to deliver an Oberheim-inspired sound, but only occupies a tiny enclosure that’s small enough to fit into your pocket.
Despite its tiny footprint, the UB-1 Micro manages to pack in a pair of digitally controlled analogue oscillators, a sub-oscillator/noise generator, a classic 24 dB/oct analogue low-pass filter, a pair of LFOs and a built-in arpeggiator. Multi-function top-panel controls are provided for the likes of the oscillators and filter, while an intuitive menu system offers access to the instrument’s LFOs and envelopes. Power is delivered via USB-C, and the UB-1 MICRO works as a class-compliant USB MIDI device, as well as featuring a 3.5mm TRS MIDI In for connecting external controllers and gear.
