Cableguys’ ShaperBox 3 plug-in collection brings together a wide variety of modulation effects, all of which can be precisely controlled using the software’s powerful custom LFO-based interface. Since the software launched, the company have introduced a number of additional modules that have extended its capabilities, and the latest effect offers an interesting new take on pitch-shifting.
PitchShaper reimagines the process of pitch-shifting, allowing users to ‘draw in’ pitch effects. Its capable of delivering everything from smooth glides to more dramatic-sounding arpeggios and melodies, with an array of different effects characters available thanks to a set of four algorithms: Complex, Vocals, Drums and Vintage. It’s not just the LFO-style interface that sets PitchShaper apart from the competition, though.
The plug-in also packs in some other powerful features including multiband pitch-shifting, an envelope follower that makes it possible to craft all manner of percussive effects, a Smooth control that allows steps to be transformed into synth-style glides, and audio-triggered LFOs that can be put to work on tasks such as re-pitching drum hits.
