Fletcher & Mils bespoke handmade studio furniture UK

Based in West Sussex, Fletcher & Mils are a family-run business that offer a wide range of bespoke handmade furniture. Following a number of enquiries from home and commercial studio users, they decided to launch a new Studio Range, offering custom-built solutions that aim to provide musicians, producers, engineers and content creators with desks created specifically for their work.

Fletcher & Mils bespoke handmade studio furniture UKA Fletcher & Mils desk fitted with rack units along with keyboard and central shelves. The range’s standard style features a varnished solid timber frame and black leatherette top finish supported by steel trapezium legs, providing a solid design that mixes modern and retro styling. The company say that they believe that studio furniture should not only be functional and offer everything needed to accommodate a users working practices and inspire creativity, but should also look the part, too.

Their standard sizes are 1800 x 900 mm and 2300 x 900 mm (width x depth), but as each desk is made by hand to order, the company are happy to accommodate custom sizing requests, as well as different finish options — in fact, they have already completed a project that sports a zebra print top and pink finishing trim! They also offer standalone rack units, which are again build to a customer’s requirements.

"I came across Fletcher & Mills on a Google search and made an enquiry as I really liked the retro-industrial look of their studio furniture. I tried to be really conscious about not losing the integrity of their original design bearing in mind my requirements were quite specific. They were really open to accommodating me and communicated really well. Very happy with the end result — couldn’t recommend this outfit more highly.” - Ben Drew (Plan B), award-winning artist, producer and actor
