Evolve Air from Excite Audio

New sample-based synthesizer joins Evolve line-up

Excite Audio Evolve Air sample-based software synthesizer

The latest arrival to Excite Audio’s Evolve series promises to “blend fragile sonic moments into something intimate yet intangible, half-there, floating at the edge of the ethereal”.

Evolve Air is a sample-based synthesizer that captures a range of atmospheric and ethereal sounds, delivering a collection of breathy textures, wind instruments and spacious atmospheric patches. Inspired by the experimental works of artists such as Tim Hecker, Jon Hopkins, Brian Eno and Oneohtrix Point Never, the instrument has been designed to ‘sit behind’ users’ music and offer a sense of space and emotion.

Over 250 presets range from distant vocal phrases and ghostly pads to vast atmospheric sounds, bringing depth, movement and atmosphere to everything from writing ambient compositions, scoring to picture, producing electronica or designing immersive soundscapes.
