Wampler Pedals announces the release of the Golden Jubilee, a new dual-voice, high-gain distortion pedal that promises to deliver the punch, feel and harmonic richness of classic hot-rodded 1980s high-gain amplifiers.
Designed by founder Brian Wampler, the latest addition to the company’s line-up features two purpose-built, complementary voices. The first offers a tight, articulate sound inspired by iconic boutique American high-gain amps, while the latter provides an aggressive, saturated crunch sound based on British classics. The two channels have been designed to operate independently or stack together, providing users with a diverse range of sounds that cover everything from defined rhythm tones to saturated, singing lead sounds.
Independent controls are provided both channels, while a trio of toggle switches make it possible to select different voicing options and choose the order in which the two circuits are placed in the signal chain. Everything is available directly on the top panel of the pedal, with no menus or DIP switches in sight. The company say that the pedal has been designed to perform consistently across a range of different platforms including clean valve and solid-state amplifiers, as well as acting as a front end for digital rigs.
