Focal have announced the launch of a third model in their Professional headphone range. Featuring a closed-back design and promising to deliver a clean and accurate sound, the Lensys Professional are said to be a must-have tool for creators on the move.
Focal say that their R&D team allocated a great amount of time and effort to creating a design that offers a high degree of accuracy while guaranteeing comfort and isolation. The Lensys Professional employs aluminium/magnesium electrodynamic drivers that feature Focal’s 'M'‑shaped dome, a design that the company say offers incredibly precise sound reproduction.
Aluminium is used to increase the dome's rigidity and greatly reduce distortion, while magnesium helps to ensure excellent damping, a combination which helps the drivers to achieve an accurate response throughout their entire frequency range. The drive unit components are angled within the earcups to enhance stereo imaging, while the acoustic load has been optimised to enhance low-end extension, working in a similar way to a bass-reflex loudspeaker.
The Lensys Professional boast a lightweight design, weighing in at 306g, and feature memory foam earpads that provide a comfortable fit as well as offering excellent isolation, while the flexible headband is covered with a breathable fabric. The headphones come supplied in a fitted carrying case, along with straight and coiled cables and a 3.5mm to quarter-inch TRS adapter.
