HeadRush introduce ReValver 5

Free to download with optional paid expansions

HeadRush ReValver 5 amp cabinet simulation software

The latest version of HeadRush’s amp modelling software has arrived, boasting improvements to the ACT (Audio Cloning Technology) cabinet modelling and EQ matching, integration with the company’s hardware pedalboard units and more. Best of all, ReValver 5 is available for free, with a collection of paid-for expansion available to those wishing to kit out the software with additional effects, amp and cabinet models.

New & Improved

The company have combined the power of their HeadRush pedalboard units with the software suite, making it possible for users to recreate HeadRush presets in ReValver 5 and utilise them as plug-ins in their DAW sessions. It also means that tones created within the software during recording or production sessions can be transferred to the pedalboard units for users to take their studio tones to the stage. ReValver is also the only software to offer official Peavey and Budda amp and effects models, which have been developed in collaboration with the original engineers.

The ACT technology promises to take the software’s cabinet modelling and EQ matching capabilities to the next level, as well as allowing users to shape the sound of their guitar, cloning the sound and characteristics of other types of electric guitar and pickup combinations, as well as acoustic and folk instruments. An RIR2 cabinet module offers detailed control over virtual microphone type and placement options, and supports user-imported impulse responses, whilst the collection of onboard effects can be expanded thanks to support for third-party plug-in hosting.

There are currently four expansion packs which add a range of additional content including amp models, effects, RIR2 cabinet models and more. The chart below breaks down what’s on offer in each pack.
