Genelec's 8000 Series of monitors is a popular choice for broadcast, music and post-production studios across the world. Now, the series welcomes its smallest member: the 8010.

The 8010 monitors are suitable for work in small studios, OB vans, and are ideal an ideal companion for portable recording devices and other mobile production work.

The 8010 really is tiny with a three-inch bass driver, 3/4-inch tweeter and a Class-D power amp matched to each. However, with a maximum SPL of 96dB, the 8010 punches above its weight.

These monitors, have the standard 8000 Series room calibration controls, a balanced XLR input grille-covered drivers to prevent damage during transport. In their ongoing mission to go green, the speakers also feature Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) circuitry that saves energy by automatically putting the monitor to sleep when the audio signal has been absent for a while. Once a signal is detected again, the monitor wakes up automatically. This circuitry can be bypassed when automatic standby function is not desired.

They are set have an RRP of £250 each, including VAT.
