UK Electronic Music Conference, 10 - 11 June, Earl's Court
On Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th of June, London Calling 2005, an Electronic, Dance and Urban Music Conference for the UK, will be taking over Earl's Court Exhibition Centre in London.
Aimed at anyone and everyone involved or interested in electronic music, the organisers describe the event as the place to be seen and heard for producers, DJs, promoters, MCs, musicians, writers, vocalists and indie labels.
As well as networking with exhibitors and other attendees, visitors will be able to attend a range of seminars and workshops.
Under the heading 'Show Me The Money', music marketing agency FRUKT (www.fruktmusic.com) will be staging a series of seminars and panel discussions on Friday the 10th covering diverse topics include on-line music sales and distribution, revenue from ringtones and direct marketing techniques.
The SAE Institute (www.saeuk.com) and the Academy of Contemporary Music (www.acm.ac.uk) will be running seminars and workshops on music-making and the music industry on both days, under the heading of 'Play Me The Music'.
Basic entry costs £25. An Industry Delegate Pass, which allows access to the 'Show Me The Money' seminars and VIP area, costs £150 in advance and there's a 30 percent discount for AIM, BPI and MMF members.
