Press Release: For 30 years CM has been at the forefront of music education, assisting young producers and musicians to gain and improve skills needed to earn a living from music and the creative industries. CM’s Creative Music Production & Business course is one of a kind and offers you the chance to gain effective production and business skills that will give your music and career viability.
If your desire is to become a successful music producer or if you are a musician or songwriter who wants to take control of their own music and career, then this is the course for you.
During this 2-year course, students learn real world techniques and knowledge from professional tutors who are out there working in the industry today. You will develop your ability in studio production techniques, recording, programming, musicianship and creative composition. You will explore essential business and career planning skills such as business planning and development, marketing and finance skills, and you will explore the music industry as a whole, whilst continuing to develop your music production skills throughout the course.

Over 80% of previous students have gone on to develop a career in the industry and there are many success stories including students gaining number 1’s, top 10 hits, album deals, production deals, tour deals, and international industry experience.
Students have gone on to work with artists such as Emeli Sande, Shakira, Olly Murs, Skrillex, Wiley , Dot Rotten, Professor Green, Tynchy Stryder, Little Mix and many more. Students have also gone on to play at Glastonbury, Bestival, the Royal Albert Hall and many other festivals and club nights around the world.
This course is open to musicians, songwriters and producers alike, in any genre. As long as you have a basic understanding of music production, CM can move your music and career on to the next level. This course gives you the chance to be in control of your own music making, and makes complex music production software accessible.
CM supports people from all backgrounds and in this respect this course is open to applicants with no formal qualifications. Instead, CM looks for motivated, dedicated and creative people who can demonstrate their drive to succeed in the ever changing and challenging music industry.
This year is CM's 30th birthday and in tradition with our ethos of assisting musicians from all backgrounds we have made every effort to keep course fees as low as possible. Tuition fees are set at £5750, saving nearly £3,500 from standard degree fees. Student loans or grants are available to cover all tuition fees and living costs.
