Nomad Factory have just released an updated version of their popular Motown Retro Bundle. Motown EQs v2 combines two new EQ modules in a single plug-in, and is now available in a new and updated version of their Retro EQs Bundle.
Motown EQs v2
Based on the rare, custom-built EQ units used at Motown’s Hitsville USA studios, the new Motown EQs v2 plug-in promises to deliver the unmistakable tone that helped to shape some of the most iconic tracks in music history. The latest version benefits from an all-new DSP engine, enhanced analogue saturation modelling, oversampling support, VST3 compatibility, a resizeable GUI, and the following new modules:
- Music Tone — perfect for giving full mixes, vocals, drums or guitars the punch, warmth and clarity of vintage Motown productions.
- Film Tone — designed specifically for voiceover and post-production use, offering rich tonal control for dialogue and narration.
Retro EQs Bundle v2
Alongside the launch of Motown EQs v2, Nomad Factory have also updated Retro EQs Bundle, combining the latest Motown-inspired release with two of their other popular EQ plug-in families. The bundle now includes:
- Pulse-Tec EQs v2: Based on the legendary Pultec EQP-1A and MEQ-5, offering silky high-end boosts, deep low-end shaping and the distinctive ability to boost and cut simultaneously for musical colouration.
- All-Tec EQs v2: Inspired by the Altec 9063B program EQ, known for its simple controls and broad, natural-sounding curves that work beautifully across individual tracks and buses.
- Motown EQs v2: Capturing the sound of a generation with the signature tone of Motown’s secret weapon EQs.
Compatibility
Motown EQs v2 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and higher. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Motown EQs v2 is available now, and is currently (27 May 2025) being offered at an introductory price of $44.99, reduced from its full cost of $149. The Retro EQs Bundle v2 is also currently on sale, priced at $54.99 instead of its usual $249.
