Music creation events organisers Music Expo are to host an expansive, two-day online conference called Music Expo At Home, in association with Sound On Sound.
The densely-packed programmed event, which takes place on 15th-16th May, will feature keynote speaker Salaam Remi (pictured right), whose production career has seen him work with such high-profile artists as Nas, Amy Winehouse and the Fugees. He'll be joined by a host of other industry veterans, including Big Deal Music Group’s Creative Director/A&R Ashley Alexander, Mixing & Post Production Engineer Maria Elise Ayerbe (Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, JLo), Producer iLL Factor (Matisyahu, Justin Timberlake, Jason Derulo), Create Music Group’s Urban Team Manager/A&R Mark Hill Jr., Producer & Mixing Engineer James Joubran, Producer Adam Kagan (Kanye West, Babyface, CeeLo Green), Producer/Engineer/Songwriter Guillo Lefeld, Puerto Rican Pop Singer/Songwriter Christian Pagán, Mastering Engineer Piper Payne (Third Eye Blind, Madame Gandhi, Geographer), Mixing Engineer Frank Socorro (Mary J Blige, Nas, Cee-Lo), Colombian Music Producer and DJ Ali Stone, and more.
About their move to online events, Music Expo founder Loic Maestracci explains: “Typically around this time of year, we host Music Expo in-person in Miami, but due to Covid-19 that was not possible. So, we decided to launch an online edition bringing the personal experience of Music Expo to attendees even closer — at home. There will be opportunities to ask questions, share tracks and beats and receive feedback, and win prizes and giveaways from sponsors.”
Tickets for the conference start at $20, though there's a $5 discount for SOS readers — simply enter the code SOSREADER when you check out at the link below.
