Music Production for Women (MPW) have announced that they are offering four scholarship places for female or non-binary individuals on their new year-long Master Your Music programme. Supported by organisations such as The Distrokid, Yamaha Music Australia, Veva Collect, and MPW, Master Your Music will provide weekly online masterclasses in music production, mixing, marketing, sound design, and many others.
The classes will take place every Wednesday at 8pm GMT, starting from the 22 February 2023. They will be taught by experts including UK-based Ramera Abraham, who has worked with artists including Stormzy, Adele, and Little Mix, as well as US-based artist and producer Lillian Frances, who has shared a stage with acts such as Sylvan Esso and Shakey Graves. Students will also receive monthly group mentoring sessions which aim to help them achieve their musical goals for the year, as well as gaining access to a safe and supportive community along with a number of other benefits, with the total value of the programme exceeding $9000.
To participate, attendees will need access to a laptop and headphones, along with a copy of Ableton Live. The scholarship winners will be provided with a copy of Ableton Live Intro, with the option of upgrading using a special discount.
Three of the places are open to applicants from anywhere in the world, with the fourth place open to applicants from residents of Australia or New Zealand. MPW say that the scholarships will be awarded to those who truly would not have been able to attend otherwise.
Applications close at 12am GMT on 6 February 2023, and winners will be contacted by 10 February 2023. The application form, along with more details on the programme itself, can be found here.
