NAMM 2020 — PreSonus Quantum 2626

Low-cost Thunderbolt 3 audio interface

PreSonus launched their first Thunderbolt 3 audio interface in their Quantum range, the 19-inch, 1U rackmounting 2626 (the original Quantum being a Thunderbolt 2 device).

Harking back to their bestselling Firestudio in concept, it features eight mic pre connections on its front panel. On the rear, channels 1 and 2 offer a preamp output and line return, allowing an external EQ or compressor to be inserted before hitting the computer. In addition you get eight TRS balanced outputs, L/R TRS main outs, Word Clock in/out and there's MIDI In/Out on DIN connectors. Plus dual ADAT I/O and S/PDIF for digital connectivity.

It's available now, with a retail MAP price of $599 USD.
