Ashun Sound Machines (ASM) have announced the Leviasynth Keyboard and Leviasynth Desktop. These two new synthesizer models have been designed around ASM’s 16-voice Leviasynth engine. Each voice features eight oscillators of algorithmic synthesis paired with both digital and analogue filters, offering detailed sound design and expressive performance capabilities.
The Leviasynth engine provides over 300 waveshapes across eight oscillators, with 144 preset algorithms and the ability to design, save and morph between user-defined algorithms. Oscillators support multiple synthesis modes, including phase modulation, frequency modulation, pulse-width modulation, HTE Sync and three types of phase distortion. These options allow for both traditional and experimental creation of sounds.
Both versions of the Leviasynth allow detailed and precise control over each of the eight individual algorithmic oscillators, with intuitive feedback from the touch-responsive display.
Sound is routed through dual filter stages, beginning with ASM’s Hydrasynth digital filter offering 18 modes, and followed by a new analog 4-pole resonant filter with built-in pre-drive saturation and self-oscillation. The instrument includes a 32-slot modulation matrix with 170 sources and over 290 destinations, alongside a comprehensive onboard effects section and a three-track sequencer paired with an arpeggiator featuring Entropy variation.
Both models ship with 512 Single-mode patches and 256 Multi-mode patches, and feature a full-color touchscreen with dedicated knobs and buttons for sound design and performance. The updated ASM Patch Manager for macOS and Windows provides firmware updates, patch organization, backup, and restoration.
The Leviasynth is available in two formats, either a desktop module or a 61-key keyboard.
The Leviasynth Keyboard integrates the engine with a 61-note Polytouch polyphonic aftertouch keybed and a four-octave ribbon controller for expressive stage and studio performance. The Leviasynth Desktop offers the same synthesis features in a compact tabletop form, with 16 Polytouch polyphonic aftertouch pads, VESA and 19-inch rack mounting support, making it suitable for studio setups, modular rigs, or for use with an external controller.
Pricing & Availability
The Leviasynth Keyboard is priced at $2,999€3,199 / £2,799. The Leviasynth Desktop is priced at $2,199€2,349 / £2,049.
Both models are expected to ship globally in February 2026 and are being exhibited at the NAMM Show 2026.
