Native Instruments Scarbee Jay Bass

Fender Jazz Bass instrument
Native Instruments' new plug-in, Scarbee Jay Bass, aims to provide “an authentic rendition of the legendary Fender Jazz Bass”. Powered by the free Kontakt Player (which is based on the Kontakt 4 software sampler), Jay Bass includes both slapped and fingered styles of bass playing.
All four strings of the instrument have been sampled at nine velocities and have been recorded via DI, making he instrument perfect for re-amping with an amp simulator or even a real amp!

To ease the programming of realistic bass parts, the Kontakt engine articulates your sequence with hammer-ons, pull-offs, grace notes, fret notes and even pickup hits. The fretboard at the top of the plug-in interface reflects all such articulations in real time, and also illustrates any slides and chords played, as well as intelligently alternating index and middle finger samples during fast parts.

Scarbee Jay Bass costs 79 Euros to download from the Native Instruments web site.
