Organic Instruments have added another instrument to their growing software collection, this time carefully sampling a ukulele. Simply titled Ukulele, the instrument runs in the company’s Elemental Player, and is free for anyone to download and use.
The instrument offers a choice of three articulations: Plucked, Over-plucked and Muted, which can be selected via a trio of icons in the GUI, and cover a range of sounds that promise to maintain a gentle and playful sound character. As with the company’s other offerings, the sounds can be shaped using an ADSR envelope section as well as Gain, Panning and Velocity Range parameters, while some spatial effects are on offer thanks to a built-in Reverb section equipped with Size, Width, Damp and Dry/Wet controls.
Compatibility
Ukulele runs in Organic Instruments’ free Elemental Player, which is supported on PCs running Windows 7 and above and Macs running macOS 10.13 or higher, and is available as a VST3, AU or AAX plug-in as well as a standalone application.
Availability
Ukulele is available now, and is free to download. The company are also currently offered a 25% discount on their Atmospheres virtual instrument and Elemental Studio, the plug-in development software that was used to create Ukulele. The offer will be particularly welcome news for those interested in Elemental Studio’s rental plans, as customers will get to keep the discount for every renewal!
