Pro7ect and Prism Sound will once again be hosting their annual Project7 songwriting events at Rockfield Studios in Wales. Consisting of a residential Songwriting Retreat between 18 and 22 July 2023, and one-day Masterclass on 22 July 2023, the events will give attendees the chance to live, write and collaborate with acclaimed music producers in the legendary studio that has played host to acts such as Queen, Black Sabbath, Oasis, Rush, Robert Plant, Coldplay and many more.


Headline producers for this year’s event include:

  • Emre Ramazanoglu, whose credits include Noel Gallagher, Carly Rae Jepsen, Richard Ashcroft, U2, Lily Allen, Paloma Faith and Michael Jackson, and also extend to the TV and film world, having recently worked on the soundtrack for ‘Killing Eve’ and the new Steven Soderbergh film ‘The Laundromat’.
  • Kaity Rae, who has worked with The Shires, Lisa Pac, Betsi Gold, Tragic Sasha and Lleoworld, and is also the co-writer and producer of the theme song for the film ‘How To Build A Girl’.
  • Gethin Pearson, a producer and songwriter whose numerous credits include the likes of  Badly Drawn Boy, Charlie XCX, Kele Okereke, Mallory Knox, To Kill a King, The RPMs and The Pitchforks.
  • Lisa Fitzgibbon, Pro7ect’s Creative Director, who has worked as a singer, songwriter and producer with acts such as The PowerFolk Quintet, Moonshee, Will Cox, The Standing, Chris Difford (Squeeze), Arlo Guthrie, Roger McGuinn, Martin Hates and Denis Cahil.

Dates & Prices

  • Residential: 18 - 22 July 2023 - £1,695 - Fee includes four nights’ accommodation (twin share), three writing days and all meals, studios, and equipment. Artists are asked to bring any essential songwriting instruments or tools with them.
  • One-day Masterclass: 22 July 2023: 10am - 5pm - £195 - With Gethin Pearson and Lisa Fitz in the Quadrangle Studio. The price includes studio, all equipment and lunch. The Masterclass is open to anyone. No previous songwriting experience required.
