RME have announced a new partnership that sees them become the latest company to integrate Sonarworks’ SoundID Reference software into their own DSP platform. Thanks to an update to the renowned room-correction software, users of RME’s DSP-equipped audio interfaces can now load a SoundID Reference calibration profile into TotalMix FX, eliminating the need to run the software in the background.
With the new SoundID Reference update installed, the calibration profile can be imported into the newly added Room EQ section in TotalMix FX, where it will be powered by the RME interface’s onboard DSP and run independently of Sonarworks’ own software.
The following RME interfaces now feature the new Room EQ functionality:
- Fireface UFX III
- UFX+
- UFX II
- 802 FS
- UCX II
- HDSPe MADI FX rev2

- For Speakers & Headphones: from €249

Existing Sonarworks customers can download an update for their SoundID Reference software to add the RME compatibility to their existing setup.
