The NT6 is small enough to place just about anywhere
The capsule of the new Rode NT6 small-diaphragm condenser mic is connected to the main body of the mic by a three-metre cable, making it perfect for discrete instrument miking, especially in tight spaces.
The mic body, which house the preamp and XLR connector, also features -10dB pad and 80Hz high-pass filter switches, meaning that the engineer can adjust these setting without disturbing the position of the capsule.
The NT6 runs off standard 48V phantom power. The mic has a fixed cardioid pattern, a frequency range of 40Hz - 20kHz and a maximum SPL figure of 135dB. It's supplied with all the necessary mounting hardware, a windshield and a zip-up pouch.
The Rode NT6 will be available next month, priced £229.95 including VAT.
