Roland have announced the release of their new JUNO-D synthesizer keyboard series. The series comprises the JUNO-D6, JUNO-D7, and JUNO-D8, which Roland say all offer portability, professional-grade sound and modern features.
With keybeds inherited from the Fantom-0 series, the JUNO-D6 features a 61-note synth-action keyboard, the JUNO-D7 comes with 76 synth-action keys, while the JUNO-D8 offers a full 88-note weighted, hammer-action keyboard for a more traditional piano feel.
All members of the JUNO-D series are equipped with Roland’s ZEN-Core sound engine which gives access to over 3,800 sounds, including a wide range of acoustic pianos, electric pianos, vintage synths, orchestral instruments, world sounds and more. For further inspiration users can import their own WAV samples to recreate specific sounds, as well as use the Roland Cloud to access an ever-growing collection of sound packs and expansions.
Musicians can enjoy hands-on control with dedicated buttons for 16 sound categories as well as Dual, Split, and Super Layer functions to combine tones or assign different parts to each hand. An eight-track sequencer and phrase pads provide tools for creating arrangements, while features like the arpeggiator and chord memory open up further possibilities.
The JUNO-D series also supports live performance with built-in vocal effects, including compression, EQ, and auto pitch. a mic input allows for vocals to be added to performances, and the keyboards are equipped with an audio/MIDI USB-C interface for seamless connection to computers and mobile devices, making it easy to create music or livestream with high-quality sound.
