Cableguys have released the latest update for ShaperBox, their popular rhythmic effects plug-in. Version 3.2 focuses primarily on the plug-in’s NoiseShaper module, with the introduction of a new Noise Pitch control offering ±24 semitones of pitch-shifting to noise sources, and a new selection of built-in drum and percussion sounds joining the existing noise types.
The NoiseShaper module in ShaperBox is now equipped with 41 drum sounds which can be triggered by incoming audio signals.The NoiseShaper module contains a selection of noise sources, the level of which follows the dynamics of an incoming audio signal thanks to an envelope follower. This can be manipulated further using a built-in LFO which offers a range of wave shapes, as well as allowing users to create their own.
Version 3.2 expands the existing range of noise sources, adding 41 new cymbal and percussion sounds which can be used to automatically generate percussive patterns and grooves based on rhythmic material, or add additional layers to sources such as kick and snare sounds. The new selection includes 11 hi-hats, six rides, seven crashes, four claps, four snares, and nine percussion sounds.

Compatibility
ShaperBox 3.2 is compatible with PCs running Windows 7 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and higher. For Mac users, both Intel and Apple Silicon-based machines are supported. VST2, VST3, AAX and AU versions are available.

ShaperBox 3.2 is available as a free update to all existing users, and can be downloaded directly from the CableGuys website. Those wishing to purchase ShaperBox are currently able to take advantage of Cableguys’ extended Winter Sale pricing, with the full ShaperBox 3 Bundle containing all of the plug-in’s nine effects currently available for $89€89, reduced from its usual price of $99€99.
