Softube have announced the release of Amp Room Suites, an update which reconfigures their Amp Room guitar and bass amp emulation software into four dedicated amp categories, and the Volume 6 Plug-in Collection, the latest version of their flagship plug-in bundle.
Amp Room Suites
A new Suite Mode has been added to Amp Room, organising the software’s collection of amplifiers, cabinets and effects into four categories: Marshall Suite, Metal Suite, Vintage Suite and Bass Suite. The new suites allow users to quickly find the sounds they need, and to mix and match suite components to arrive at their desired tone. Those wishing to customise their virtual rigs further can switch to Studio Mode, where they are able to combine components from different suites.
Officially licensed by Marshall, the Marshall Suite captures the sound of iconic amplifiers such as the Plexi Super Lead 1959 and Bluesbreaker 1962, as well as providing a wide variety of cabinet options, movable microphone positions and well-known effects pedals including the Guv’nor. Metal Suite then includes models such as the Vildsint 50W 6L6, the Higain 100W 6L6, the American Mainstayer 100W, and the Marshall JCM800 Lead Series, along with numerous pedals and cabinets.
Those looking to add some retro vibe to their productions can look to the Vintage Suite, which offers models of vintage classics from the likes of Fender and Vox, as well as a collection of cabinet and effects pedal options. Bass guitars tones are then catered for by the Bass Suite, which contains modelled versions of amplifiers such as a Bass Standard Line V8, Supernova Parallel Channel 300W, and The Cardinal 100W. In addition to the amp modelling, Bass Suite also offers a Direct Input DI that allows users to sculpt their ideal DI tone.
Volume 6 Plug-in Collection
Alongside the Amp Room update, Softube have also announced the latest version of their flagship plug-in collection. Bundling together a comprehensive selection of modelled channel strips, equalisers, compressors, reverbs, instruments and more, Volume 6 Plug-in Collection furnishes users with processors developed in partnership with well-known pro audio brands such as Weiss, Summit Audio, Marshall, Drawmer, and Trident.
