Sonnox launch low-cost vocal doubling plug-ins

VoxDoubler is first in new Toolbox plug-in range

Sonnox might be best known for their high-end Oxford-series plug-ins but their latest range has been conceived to solve universally complex and time-consuming problems that affect beginners and audio professionals alike.

The first plug-in in the new Toolbox range is called VoxDoubler and is comprised of two separate plug-ins called Widen and Thicken, which are specifically engineered to help with the two most common vocal doubling workflows.

“Vocal doubling either takes considerable time, effort and expense or it doesn’t create sufficiently believable and natural-sounding results,” say Sonnox. “The VoxDoubler elegantly solves this by providing you with ease of use, real-time processing and a sound as lifelike as if the doubled parts were actually multi-tracked. Saving you time, money and maintaining your creative flow.”

The big surprise here, though, is the price. With an introductory price of only £55.13$79 (rising to £69$99 on March 1st), VoxDoubler is the most affordable offering from the plug-in makers to date.

VoxDoubler is out now and a 15-day trial is available. You’ll just need a free iLok account (no dongle necessary).
