Sonora Cinematic update Harmonic Bloom

Instrument gains 78 new presets

Sonora Cinematic Harmonic Bloom Creative Sound Design Environment Kontakt Player pads textures sample library

To celebrate the first anniversary of the release of their Kontakt Player-based Harmonic Bloom instrument,  Sonora Cinematic have released an update which introduces an array of presets created by a talented line-up of musicians, composers and sound designers.

The instrument specialises in turning noise into unique and distinctive musical material, and comes loaded with a wide variety of samples as well as allowing users to import their own. Once sounds are loaded, a slider-based interface makes it possible to extract harmonic content in order to obtain a musical pitch, which can then be processed with a number of onboard filters and modulation capabilities. If you’d like to find out more about the instrument, we reviewed it in the April 2023 issue of SOS — click here to take a look.

With the release of v1.3, Harmonic Bloom gains an inspiring collection of 78 new electronica and ambient presets created by music and sound design artists including Si Begg, r beny, MATTHS, Patricia Wolf and Elif Yalvaç.

Harmonic Bloom runs in Native Instruments’ free Kontakt Player 7, which is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or 11, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and above. VST, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Pricing & Availability

The update is available now, and is free to existing users. For those wishing to purchase Harmonic Bloom, it is being offered at a discounted price of £83 including VAT (usually £119) until 7 January 2024.
