Sound Particles 3 gains ADM support

Immersive sound-design software updated

Sound Particles 3 immersive spatial audio Atmos sound design software

Sound Particles have announced the launch of the latest version of their all-in-one sound-design platform. Currently available as a public beta, Sound Particles 3 introduces a range of new capabilities, including the ability to export projects as ADM files.

The company say that they have designed the software to make the process of crafting spatial audio as intuitive as possible, and to allow users to focus on creating the perfect sound without technical limitations. Version 3 introduces a whole host of new features including plug-in support, ADM file export and an object budgeting system that allows users to define a maximum number of objects and have the software automatically select which particles become objects and which are rendered to beds.

Thanks to a rebuild of the underlying engine, the software also boasts significant performance increases compared to its predecessor, and yet more features are set to be introduced in the near future, including a built-in AI assistant and support for virtual instruments.

Check out the video below for a walkthrough of the new features that have been introduced in Sound Particles 3.

Sound Particles 3 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and higher.
