Bolster your qualifications with LCM's short courses
London College of Music (LCM) have announced details of their part-time audio courses that will run through spring and summer 2009. There are four, designed to teach a variety of skills: Music Studio Techniques is split into two parts, giving students the chance to learn essential audio theory, then follow it up with some more in-depth practical tutoring; the other two, Mixing and Mastering, handle specific techniques.
The courses will be delivered by Russ Hepworth-Sawyer, who’s graced the pages of Sound On Sound in the past, with a little help from associates Tim Speight (on the Mixing course) and Paul Baily, formerly of Abbey Road (for the Mastering workshops). The courses cost £100 each, or £60 if you are a full-time student at LCM or Thames Valley University.
