SSL have announced the launch of a free voice-transformation plug-in that combines a range of processors including delay, pitch-shifting, reverb, noise generation and more. They say that it’s more than simply a Halloween-inspired effect, though, and will be an ideal solution for sound design, game audio development, music production or any other project that requires a touch of the supernatural.
X-Orcism II: Voices From The Crypt features an intuitive set of controls that have been designed to make quick work of transforming incoming audio signals into haunting, immersive soundscapes. Echoes and Crypt Size parameters allow voices to be layered with “whispers from the beyond”, while Ghoul and Wail create a range of unsettling pitch-shifting effects. Tombverb, as its name suggests, provides some built-in reverb, and finally, a Howl control governs a noise generator that can be automated to build rise and fall effects.
Beyond its uses as a vocal-processing tool, X-Orcism II is said to be an ideal plug-in for experimental music or film and video game production, as well as being capable of delivering a wealth of otherworldly sounds when used alongside synthesizers, guitars and other instruments.

Compatibility
X-Orcism II: Voices From The Crypt is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 11 or higher. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
