An all-new Tuner is also included, offering Simple and Advanced user modes, ultra-fast response times and intuitive controls that ensure any instrument is kept precisely in tune.
Further refinements to Cubasis 3.8 include Bluetooth audio recording, audio input/output device selection and support for import and export of Tempo and Signature track data in MIDI files, making it easier to preserve timing and structure across apps and devices.
Verve & Etude
The first of the two new instruments, Verve, is a highly detailed felt piano that has been captured using a custom-built robot for ultra-precise key velocity and consistency. Its warm, intimate piano tones are joined by a range of cinematic textures created using metal, glass, dry ice, electromagnetic fields and orchestral strings. The additional sources are said to blend effortlessly with the piano sound, creating a uniquely expressive instrument that’s perfect for emotive scoring and expressive songwriting, as well as creating ambient textures and immersive soundscapes.
Etude then promises to deliver the expressive depth of a Yamaha C3X concert grand piano. Steinberg say that it offers a delicate harmonic richness at the top end, with deep, warm tones in the lower octaves, making it an ideal choice for songwriting and performing alike.
Both of the new instruments offer seamless integration with Cubasis and other AUv3-compatible DAWs. Owners of Cubasis and Verve or Etude can access an additional Cubasis plug-in version of the instrument at no extra cost.
