Summer NAMM '16: Rupert Neve Designs RNHP

Headphone Amplifier

Following on from the RNDI, the latest mini module from Rupert Neve Designs is the RNHP Precision Headphone Amplifier. Based on the headphone output circuitry found in the 5060 Centrepiece desktop mixer, it’s a dedicated headphone amp that promises high headroom and detailed sound.

Designed to address the shortcomings in many built-in headphone amps, the RNHP features three stereo inputs – balanced XLR/TRS, unbalanced RCA phono and stereo mini jack – selectable from the front panel. These are all impedance-matched, so even portable music players and phones are properly catered for.  A high-precision stereo potentiometer controls the volume, while the headphone output features near-zero output impedance to drive any headphones.

This no-compromise headphone amp is available now, priced £529$499.
