Reimagines classic analogue monosynths

Teletone Audio Oracle classic analogue monosynth recreated polyphonic Kontakt instrument

Teletone Audio’s latest release sees the company take some of the most iconic analogue monosynths and recreate their sound within a powerful new polyphonic instrument.

Oracle has been built using the waveforms of classic offerings such as the Moog Model D, Sequential Pro-One, Roland SH-101, Korg MS-20, Moog DFAM and Moog Sonic Six. The company say that the new addition to their line-up captures the raw energy of the original instruments, and combines it with the flexibility and immediacy offered by a modern software instrument. The result promises to kit users out with a synth that feels ‘alive’, and offers a balance of depth and ease of use that will suit both seasoned sound designers and those just beginning their journey into synthesis.

The instrument has been built around Movements, a modulation system that comprises a set of six drag-and-drop LFOs. Designed to make modulation simple, visual and expressive, the system allows users to establish modulation paths with a Custom Shapes editor, an interface which the company say makes it possible to “transform sound through motion, rhythm and texture”.

Oracle comes loaded with over 300 presets that cover everything from aggressive tones to more laid-back, dreamy sounds and evolving soundscapes, many of which have been designed specifically modern composers and producers in mind. Every patch has been built using the instrument’s own controls, allowing users to reverse-engineer or customise any of the included sounds with complete freedom.
