Try-Sound Updates

Two new instruments to play online
Online virtual instrument demo service Try-Sound allows Windows users to play full virtual instruments, on line, for 15 minutes. They have added two new virtual instruments to their already impressive database, bringing the total number available to 33. The latest additions are the Kontakt-based Chris Hein Volume 3: Muted Brass, and the aptly-named Titan analogue synthesiser collection.

To use the service, simply register with the site, select a time for your session, choose which instrument you wish to play and download the resultant executable file. Running this EXE will connect you to the Try-Sound server and,  after selecting sound quality and latency settings, will allow you to send MIDI data to the instrument in real time.  Sound quality and latency are dependent on network connection speed, with a connection of at least 2Mbps recommended.
