Two notes’ Genome goes standalone

Release also includes new TSM-Ai Amplifiers & DynIR cabinets

Two notes Audio Engineering Genome standalone amp- and cabinet-modelling guitar effects software

Two notes Audio Engineering have just announced the launch of a significant upgrade to their popular amp-modelling and effects software. With the release of Genome v1.6, the suite is now available as a standalone application as well as a DAW plug-in, and has also gained two new TSM-Ai Amplifiers and 10 additional DynIR cabinet models.

Alongside the news of the standalone application, Two notes have also revealed that Genome’s standard cabinet collection has been updated to include their best-selling Anniversary Edition Cabinet Collection. Captured at Mirador Studios collection has been engineered to deliver mojo-fuelled sonics from a selection of rare and sought-after cabinets, offering everything from “raunch-filled means to vibey cleans”. Featuring captures inspired by iconic brands such as Fender, Peavey, Mesa Engineering, Soldano, Ampeg, Vox, Gibson and Marshall, the company say that the bundle brings together their most audacious captures to date.

The update also introduces a pair of new premium TSM-Ai Amplifiers: PVH50 and CaliBro73. The former is a twin-channel design inspired by the Peavey 5150, and promises to deliver everything from a “raunchy rock crunch to full-blown articulate metalcore onslaught”, while the latter offers Two notes’ take on the legendary 1973 Fender Bassman which, although technically a bass amp, has become a go-to pedal platform for many guitarists. The update also extends the built-in cabinet collection, with an additional 10 DynIR models now included as standard.

“Since GENOME’s Launch at NAMM 2024, we have been inundated with requests from our user base for a fully featured standalone application — today, we deliver on that need! Following a string of defining premium Component releases — including the hugely successful TSM-Ai-series amplifiers — Genome continues its natural evolution as the first-rate solution for fully customisable end-to-end tone shaping. Thinking this is the end would be a mistake; our roadmap is primed to redefine all expectations of what a digital backline can be, and we can’t wait to show users what we have in store!” Guillaume Pille, CEO, Two notes Audio Engineering
